Most Parasail companies in Destin take up to fifteen passengers. The difference with Sun Dogs is that our six-person maximum allows you plenty of space on the boat, making the trip much more comfortable and enjoyable.

Due to strict Insurance Safety Regulations, you cannot Parasail or be a Spectator if:
Any person that weighs more than 250lbs.
Weight Restrictions: The total combined weight on the Parasail is 350 lbs-450 lbs MAX, depending on the wind speed. If we have no wind or light wind, the MAX total combined weight will be less than 450 lbs. So, if everyone at your party is close to 250 pounds, we won't be able to fly you. Please let me know if everyone at your party weighs in the 200s. We might not be able to fly you. But if you show up and everyone weighs in the 200s and we can't fly you due to light wind conditions, we will charge the card on file for the entire amount. Please let me know if your party is at the MAX weight! Thank you!
We will not fly or allow the following on the boat as a spectator or to parasail:
- Any person who is Pregnant
- Any Child is under 6 years old
- Any Person that cannot sit, stand, or walk on their own*
- Any Person that cannot follow simple instructions (this is not meant to be funny)
- Any Person under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Any Person that has a mental or physical disability that could jeopardize their safety.
- ANY PERSON WHO USES A WHEELCHAIR, WALKER, OR ANY MEDICAL DEVICE THAT HELPS THEM WALK.* WE WISH WE COULD PARASAIL EVERYONE, BUT WE CAN'T. SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY. EVERYONE MUST BE PHYSICALLY MOBILE WITH NO BALANCE ISSUES OR MENTAL OR PHYSICAL DISABILITIES. THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION.
Sun Dogs Parasail reserves the right to refuse service to anyone if we feel Safety will be jeopardized.
Our max weight per passenger, whether a spectator or a flyer, is 250 lbs.
Once on the parasail boat, the deckhand puts a harness and life vest on you. Then, you walk to the back deck of the parasail boat, where the deckhand clips you and your partner(s) side by side. Once clipped in, you sit on the deck, and we make sure the harness is seated correctly. Then the captain throttles up and starts winching you out, up, up, and away! The farther from the boat you get, the quieter it gets. It's so quiet and peaceful; you can whisper to each other. When we start winching you back in and once you're close to the boat, we dip you in the water, your lower half gets wet, sometimes more, then we lift you back up and land you on the back deck standing up on your feet. We dip everyone unless you ask to "skip the dip."
24 Hour Cancellation Policy
If you need to Cancel or change the # of people in your reservation, you must do so no later than 24 hours before your Appointment. If you cancel with less notice, your card on file will be charged the total amount. If you show up with fewer people than you booked for, you will be charged for the # you booked for. You must call and speak with Sun Dogs to receive a refund when you cancel.
Online Booking Refund Policy
If Sun Dogs Parasail has to cancel your appointment due to weather or any other reason, we will issue a full refund. The refund process takes 5-7 business days but up to 7-10 days, depending on banking institutions, holidays, or time of year. Call or text us to book your appointment if you are not okay with this refund timeframe. instead of booking online. When you book via phone or text, you don't pay until you arrive for your appointment, and there is no booking fee. When you book online, you pay in full at the time of booking, plus a 6% booking fee.

No experience necessary! We love first-timers and will guide you through the entire parasailing experience.
You can parasail two or three at a time sitting side by side.
We ONLY take 6 People MAX on the boat! The great news is we don't pack you on with 12-15 people like many parasailing companies. There is plenty of room for everyone.

*Everything you bring MUST BE STOWED IN YOUR BAG so your hands are free and nothing is rolling around free on the boat while you are flying.
We do not fly singles; you must come with a flying partner.

Please check in at our booth at least twenty minutes before your scheduled trip.
Please ensure you arrive at least twenty minutes prior to your appointment time. The boat will depart on schedule, and if you miss it, your card on file will be charged.

Normally, the best time to parasail in Destin is before 1pm! Thats when the wind & seas are calmest and clearest (and it is the best chance to see dolphins.) The afternoons can get rough and windy with the coastal winds.
We fly in the Gulf if conditions are favorable; if the Gulf is too rough, we Parasail on the Choctawhatchee Bay.
Parasailing Rides are approximately 10-12+ minutes. The whole boat ride is about one hour.
You can take off and land on the boat and stay dry or get a dip in the water, it's your choice!
There is free wifi and bathrooms at AJs. We provide our guests with "dry boxes" to take with them if they don't bring a beach bag for their belongings. The dry box is big enough to hold wallet keys, cell phones, etc.
We run a shuttle from the Dock to the Parasail Boat during the busy season. This way, we don't have to deflate the Parasail every time and can do longer Parasail rides. We see tons of dolphins on the shuttle ride. The shuttle boat is a 20ft Novurania with a 115hp Yamaha.
